REALITY CHECK

Thirty years ago today I became a mama for the second time. My baby is THIRTY...

WOW.

I was twenty one and a half years old with a 14 month old, a newborn and two c~sections in 14 months.

WOW.

How did I do it?

I can't remember...

YOUTH ROCKS.

MANY WONDERFUL COMMENTS WERE ACCIDENTALLY DELETED FROM THIS POST BY THE AUTHOR IN AN ACT OF BLOGGER STUPIDITY. I APOLOGIZE TO ALL WHOSE COMMENTS WERE DELETED.

Somehow we just do it as moms! Mine are 20 months apart and both c-sections too. I was working full time with both of them. Somehow we had a normal life and I kept my sanity. Happy Bday to your "baby."

Yes thank goodness for youth! We keep our grandson Saturday for a sleepover, 15 months, and everytime he goes home I wonder how it did it full time three times. LOL

I can relate...I had my first two 16 months apart!
Young and a crazy amount of energy. It goes by so fast.
This is what everyone tells you at the time!

Mothers are the real "force to be reckoned with!" I'm not surprised at how strong and courageous you were back then...because that amazing part of you continues to shine through still today! My oldest will be 21 when I'm fifty. (This year!) My youngest will be 18. Wish I could say we planned it all, but honestly it was all in God's hands...I like His timing so much better. He definitely knew what He was doing! Pat yourself on the back girlfriend....YOU ARE ONE AMAZING WOMAN AND MOTHER! Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration!

Time flies so fast sometimes. I had three babies in 3 1/2 years. I will always remember a certain trip to the grocery store when I was 9 months pregnant and had my 15 month old and 3 year old in tow. I got a lot of double takes from onlookers. Now my babies are in their late twenties, best of friends and establishing families and lives for themselves. I never thought twice about working 12 hour nite nursing shifts and not having daycare. I certainly couldn't do it now!

Hope you are enjoying your adult children as much as I am enjoying mine! :)

Yes... our youngest Daughter turns 30 this year also... how time flies! My Mantra now seems to be: Growing old is a privilege not afforded to many. Helps me to realize that aging gracefully is indeed a Gift even though, as you say, Youth definitely rocks! *wink*

oh you just sent chills down my spine.
Mine was a c-section and 3 months later hysterectomy, i look back and think I never wanna have surgery again.
It is amazing how our bodies handle things like this. My friend just had a emergency c-section this weekend and now 4 days later she sounds like nothing ever happened, ahh, to be in your 20's again. LOL
Sending Happy Bday wishes!
Too bad youth rocks and we don't enjoy it enough when we got it.
