Well it takes courage to swallow my pride and admit my sales were not what I hoped for at Renninger's. Thanks to everyone who did buy something from me, I just wish it was more. Most dealers I know had a mediocre show at best, so I'm not alone. Anyway, my donation for the relief efforts in Haiti will be a meager $100. I wanted to do so much more...
I am considering a show in Arcadia FL on Saturday if I can get Mr. Sweet Pea on board. He's been away for two weeks working so it's iffy. If I go you'll be the first to know.
Until next time...

I am sorry, people are probably still recovering from Christmas
Oh Shelley, I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed. You should not feel badly about $100 tho. That is a lot of money. With the economy the way it is today I'm sure that $100 would be very useful to you, so to donate like that is HUGE. To all of the crafters/bloggers/dealers out there giving up their hard earned bucks..Bless You! Lisa
Chin up.... 100.00 will be feeding several people or helping them in a big way... That is wonderful.....
Hey Shelley...well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out your sales for the weekend....Actually, I surely think you did a WHOLE lot better than the majority of dealers! Everyone was crying! I was just there for Saturday afternoon, but it was the strangest show I have ever witnessed. People weren't even coming in the booths, just 'strollin' along!
At least Michael found a cute cupboard at a great price which we put in our kitchen for my cookbooks. So I got something new!
I've always wanted to go to Arcadia, a friend of mine lives there. Maybe I can talk Michael into going this weekend if you guys go.
CYA soon,
Susie
Sorry your show didn't meet your expectations. I've just about given up on shows because of lack of sales. Seems like the better my stuff, the lower the sales!
All your photos are great so obviously you have wonderful treasures to sell. Maybe it was just too soon after Christmas?
I'm so sorry that you had a less than stellar show...as you always do. Maybe it was the weather or just the wrong timing.
I know that you will shine again as you always do.
I love your blog (I'm a newbie to all this!) and am so inspired by your photos and great finds. I'm so excited that you will be at Marburger Farm..We are new to Texas, but this is totally driveable! I just wrote about it on my blog. Can't wait to meet you in person. Jen from www.homesweetseattle.blogspot.com
I'm sorry it wasn't what you hoped for, but that money will help, I am sure. Congrats on being a part of helping the people of Haiti. I am sure God will bless ya for it! ~Mindy
It's always disappointing when a show or sale doesn't do as well as hoped. It's dang hard work and expensive to do. And people just look and talk about how they love your stuff. That's great, but hey! Spend a dollar or two if you love it! Of course, I'm as guilty as the next person. Every time I think about doing a show, I remind myself of these things and stick with the internet. ;-)
Hi Shelley, I think it is so wonderful of you to donate the hundred dollars to our friends in Haiti. Such an amazing kindness. I know how much work it must take to get ready to go to a show. And then to have it not go as well as usual, would be a disappointment for sure. I think with all of us doing what we can, we will make the suffering of the people a little better.
hugs
Bummer that you didn't do as well...there really is no way to figure out people, is there? But, great chair! And it is done...ALL the better! Have a nice evening!
