The Reveal

Remember the story about the Eastlake dresser from craigslist? Well after many hours of re~assembling and painting, painting, painting, here she is in all her new found glory. I don't normally like to paint old furniture but this piece just screamed cottage white.

I think it's beautiful either way! Am I one of the very few that still love Eastlake furniture? It doesn't sell well here at all. Went to an antique show a few years ago and there was a PINK Eastlake dresser, marble top but too pricey for unemployed me at the time. I'm still kicking myself! Great job as usual - love it!

Oh I just love it. It did want to be white. I think that Eastlake detail really pops painted like that. Ooh, deja vu, big time. I just picked up 2 Eastlake pieces myself..probably part of some built-in. I bet I paint them too.

I can see it all dressed up with pretty vintagey things. Now you can just sit back and enjoy.

Definately looks super in white. My husband would have killed me though. Why do men have a "thing" about painting wood? Come for a visit.
