You'll be there in spirit...I must thank all of you who have left me comments both flattering and encouraging...I have been remiss in reading, commenting or thanking you lately as this is all consuming to get ready for.

Well Crap...
Pardon my language... I just talked to Teresa at Garden Antqs Vintage and she gave me the bad news on the weather to date in Texas... She was at Warrenton today setting up and it was COLD, MUDDY and WINDY.
Aaannnndddd they are predicting RAIN for the opening day of MARBURGER....
Okay now, I was totally under the impression that we had TOTALLY PAID OUR DUES IN THE WEATHER DEPARTMENT...
Last show we had rain... And I don't mean a drizzle... I mean buckets... The one before that we had wind...
Cold I can handle... I live in Florida so we get our share of heat and the cold is a break...
Come on weather people can you cut us a break...
Never fear... We are hardy stock... Even more than the postman...
We never let a little weather get between us and some good junk now...

The Reveal...The Redux
Okay, so I finished painting the dresser white and as I started to accumulate more pieces next to it in the garage in their original finish it just looked too, well...white. It would have stood out in my booth at Marburger like a sore thumb... So, I started playing around with paint and I must say I love it even more in it's sort of gray*off white*custom color with a bit of dirtiness to it. It's yours for the taking at Marburger... Will you be the lucky one?

Don't Be Tardy For The Party
So I'm sure you all know Teresa Cano... The one and only Miss Garden Antqs Vintage... The hostess with the mostest every Spring and Fall in Warrenton Texas where she sets up her booth full of fabulousness, and hosts the infamous BLOG PARTY.
The divine Miss T has outdone herself this time... Past parties have featured book signings with Sue Whitney of JUNK MARKET STYLE fame, Stan Williams with his book THE FIND, and bloggers like Corey Amaro of Tongue in Cheek, Elizabeth Maxson of Elizabeth House, Debbie Dusenberry of Curious Sofa, Carol Spinski of Raised In Cotton, and the lovely Zita of Mlle Magpie blog all making appearances. You just never know who you'll find yourself standing next to.
Signing her book WHERE WOMEN CREATE this time is none other than JO PACKHAM. GINA GALVIN of PEACOCK PARK will be there doing a signing as well. And if that isn't enough to get you excited, Carol of COOKIE DUMONDE will be selling her fab sweets.
Aaaannnnddddd.... There's a contest for the most creative NAME TAG so get your thinkin' caps on and get busy creating a fabulous name tag to wear to the party.
The party starts on Sunday the 28th at 6pm at Teresa's booth next to Zapp Hall in Warrenton. If you can't find it just listen for lots of loud laughing!
GO HERE to get more details on the Spring BLOG PARTY hosted by Miss T herself.
See you there!

Looking Back
It's hard to believe that we are getting ready to enter our third year of doing the Marburger Farms show in Texas. It is truly the most awesome thing I have ever done as an antiques dealer. I have seen the most fabulous treasures that I would have never seen here in Florida, I have met some of the nicest people ever , and made some life~long pals even though we only see each other twice a year.
The first show we did in the Spring of '08 was definitely our learning curve. We pulled in with no clue and it showed. Thanks to our new friends who loaned us some of the set~up tools we needed, we pulled it off.
Here is a look back at our Spring '08 booth...
Our Fall '08 show went a little more smoothly, but we still had some lessons to learn. I was starting to move away from the country look we had in the Spring, to the more French Farmhouse look that I have now...
Spring '09 came and went. I continue to refine my look...
And finally, we have the Fall '09 booth which I feel is my best ever. It even made the cover and inside of PORCH magazine...
I can't wait to show you my Spring 2010 booth. I've come a long way since our first time at Marburger, and I hope to just get better and better...

Reality Is A Mutha
The calendar is marked... I am in pretty good shape with what I'm bringing... I have no idea of what to pack clothes~wise as the weather has been so crazy... I usually have to sit on my suitcase to close it... Maybe two will be in order for this trip... I wasn't in panic mode until I read on Lauri's blog that she's leaving in 17 days...
I thought wow she must be going early... I went to the calendar and counted off 17 days...
Holy mother of all time, that's when we're leaving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17 days? Calm? Not so much...
Hope to see you there. We are in tent H, booth 14, next to Lauri and TOT.

The Reveal
Remember the story about the Eastlake dresser from craigslist? Well after many hours of re~assembling and painting, painting, painting, here she is in all her new found glory. I don't normally like to paint old furniture but this piece just screamed cottage white.
Before...
After...

I Love Me Some Frogs
I started to call this post "While I Was Away", as it's been awhile since my last one. But I wanted to give you some eye candy so I decided to show yet another of my collections...
Flower frogs.
Love love em...
I recently discovered that you can even hang them on the wall for a fresh way to display them.
Enjoy...
