EVENING ON THE PRAIRIE...

By now, I'm sure most of you have heard that

RACHEL ASHWELL

has purchased a ranch right outside Round Top, Texas and has transformed it into a B&B complete with a beautiful retail shop on the grounds.

It's called THE PRAIRIE

and one evening she hosted an open house and book signing there on the property.

The main house

My bestie CARLA and I could hardly wait to get a look at this beautiful place. So we headed over once the show closed and after taking the scenic route ( code for getting lost) we arrived.

The place is just gorgeous of course. I couldn't get a look inside any of the out buildings as they were occupied by guests, but here's a tour of the grounds.

We were able to go inside the fabulous retail shop.

even the mailbox was cute.

here's CARLA striking a pose in front of a rusty old truck.

and moi.

hope you enjoyed the tour!

Shelley,
Your photos are magnificent. Have I told you how much I've enjoyed the posts you've been doing on the show.
It's such fun for me to see what I never get to 'cause I'm stuck in that stinkin' tent. Loved the photos of all the dealers, but especially those of Terry's and Gwen's. I never get to see their vision and I love that you've given me glimpse of their talent. Thank you so much.

That would such a wonderful place to stay, I cannot even imagine! And a shop, too? It couldn't possibly get any better...well, maybe if they had a coffee shop, too, but still! ;) I love all the photos of it! That is such an amazing old truck, and I love the outfits your friend and you are wearing! :)

Blessings,
Jenni

oooohhhhh, that chandelier...I'm ready to change mine for THAT one! Wouldn't it be fun if we all could have a "play" home to buy for and decorate???
