So, here's the happy ending to this morning's let down. I emailed the person listing the dresser and asked if someone had gotten it the day before, and they emailed me back and said "we put it out at 7:15, and it's still there".
We just unloaded it. It needs some TLC but will be cute as a button when painted.
Stay tuned...

Lucky you! I won't even tell you what's on Craigslist in our area! Suffice it to say it's pretty scary! Can't wait to see pics.

Great ending! Can't wait to see it after you have given it "the treatment"!
Oh happy day for you. Can't wait to see it. You little persistant person, it does pay to be though! I've learned to make rosettes, love yours, I've enen tried making Cruz into one, just kidding, though he may be wearing one in his cowboy hat before it's all over with. I'll make one for his brother in case he decides he needs one too so they can really be called twins :)
Woo hoo! Can't wait to see it, at first it did sound like you got "punked". Does anyone use that term anymore?
Good for you....
Ya-Hoooo! Good 4 You!
I love the way you tell a story. So funny and I'm glad you stuck to it!
