What better way to bring in the new year than with surprise number one...

I am beside myself with joy that Jennifer at THE OLD PAINTED COTTAGE has selected my home as the JANUARY 2011 COTTAGE OF THE MONTH!

Here's a sneak peek at my home...

Please head on over to THE OLD PAINTED COTTAGE to see the full story and a look at my home.

Thanks Jennifer, it was fabulous working with you! All the best to everyone in 2011!

Shelley,
Am I really the first comment?? YipEE!
OMG,
First of all, I have read TOPC for about 4 years. It may have been my intro to blogging. Then today, (it's 6am) I rush to see the new one. And to be honest I always look at the pics first, then go back & read. So I'm looking at the photos & saying to self, 'hum, Jennifer really got it right this time.' Next pic...lovin it. Then it starts looking familiar. Then I see the kitchen, 'I know this house'! When I get to the studio I'm screaming 'Shelley'!!! (it was the mannequin wearing the purse necklace that cinched it). Oh Shelley, you guys must be proud, what an amazing place to call home! Wish they would have shown the out building too. Happy New Year to you sweet girl. I'm so glad I met you this year, see you in 2011! Lisa

Hi Dear, congrats on being featured on Jennifer's blog. I just love your home. I just purchased a couple weeks ago the large french pillow seen on one of your beds, from Tracey, I love it, mine is huge and I was either going to use it on a bed or the back cushion to my love seat. I love your entire home, the bedroom with the brown is my fav, very inspiring, hugs from California, tami

It is so evident that this style is YOU, because it continues seamlessly throughout. I don't think I've ever seen a home where every single thing looks perfect exactly where it is...nothing is too cluttered or too sparse...the perfect mix of neutral shades...completely wonderful!!
