WHITE WEDNESDAY

Pardon me as I slide in under the radar tonight for WHITE WEDNESDAY... Apparently my sons think I am superwoman or at least super grannie... Wednesday is a tricky day for me anyway to post as it is my day to watch my grandson... I usually post late as I have him from 7am til nearly 6pm and I am pooped when he leaves. Occasionally however, my granddaughter needs tending on the same day and so I pull a two~fer as was the case today... I literally just got off the clock so to speak...Yikes it was so much easier when I was 22 and had a newborn and a toddler... I digress...

My WHITE WEDNESDAY post for this week showcases my three glorious antique French nightgowns modeled by le girls... They don't normally wear these, they each have their own ensembles. Next post I promise... I wear these beauties in fact... I wear them as dresses, with leggings, with boots, whatever strikes my mood. I got my first one from Linda at Willow Nest and wore it at Spring Marburger with riding boots and leggings. The Magnolia Pearl girls made a beeline for Linda's booth and all bought one after that I am told... I get lots of comments like, "Are you going to bed, you have on your nightgown?" I just smile and say "Well yes it a nightgown and no I am not going to bed." I love them and encourage you to seek out your own, you'll be enchanted I promise...

The French nightgowns are beautiful.
What a great idea to wear them out with the riding boots, that sounds so cute. Do you have a picture to post of you wearing one? sandi

Oh dear Sandi... If you see a pic of me anywhere it is rare. I really don't ever like any pics of me so there are few out there. No pics of me in the gown and boots I'm sad to say. Thanks for your comment though.

Hugs,

Shelley

Very pretty indeed. The also look great on your mannequins. Thanks so much for taking the time to play along even though you had a long day. I always enjoy your post so much.

Shelley these really are amazing gowns. They look lovely on your girls, but I'll bet lovelier on you.
I hear you about watching the little g-babies. I have my 4 year old g-daughter about two to three days a week and I am so happy when it is naptime. Sometimes I lay right down with her and catch a few zs as well so I can keep up with her the rest of the day.
Hugs,
June

I LOVED your post this evening. I babysit my three year old granddaughter and sometimes my 5 month old grandbaby as well. So usually I schedule a post the night before for today. I LOVE spending my days with my "girls" but wow, they are full of energy, aren't they? Anyway, just wanted to let you know I could identify with you and I really enjoy your blog! Take care.

Those g'babies will take a toll, but they are so worth it. Would you have it any different...I thought not!
You would look fantastic in these gowns...me, not so much. I couldn't pull it off even with big bling!

Simply beautiful antique nightgowns! I would probably spill red wine on them if I wore them out, but I bet you looked so cute with the boots and all! (I'm with you....I hate having my picture taken!!)

Dear Shelly.... thank-you for the mention.... I have a cute story when I wore two once in the N.W. I sold one to a lady at the market, she just HAD to have it.. talk about selling the shirt off your back! Also I wear them in the store, as they are sooooo comfortable... and a customer quietly remarked to her friend "Is she sick"... but like you I love them and wear them often...

Bless your heart...watching little ones can be SO tiring when you're not a kid anymore. And, grandparents aren't quite set up like parents.....but isn't it just the best fun? I ADORE being a grandma....even if the little guy does poop me out.

LOVE that nightgown. They just don't add all of those sweet details anymore, do they?

Blessings,
Spencer

Take care, Laura :)
