LAST MINUTE PICK...

Yesterday we hit Renninger's for a last minute pick before we head West to Marburger Farms.

We are up to our eyeballs in preparations for the show and for the new booth at Pattie Anne's!

Pardon the driveway pics, but that's where we spend most of our time now getting ready.

Fabulous metal cubbies, white chippy cupboard, white metal mesh umbrella stand and the most gorgeous veggie bin on earth.

Seems like every show there is one thing that tugs at my heart and is really hard to sell. The veggie bin wins that honor hands down.

The patina is beyond fabulous! Really on the fence about this one...

Love a great set of cubbies and the umbrella stand is so cool!

Metal industrial table stripped. Love!

Pretty little tea cart that I painted in Old White by Annie Sloan. Yummy!

Just a hint of what we have to offer at the show of all shows

MARBURGER FARMS!

APRIL 3~7, 2012

You can find all these treasures (minus the veggie bin maybe) in

TENT H BOOTH 15.

COME GET SOMETHING FABULOUS!!!

SERENDIPITY?

For at least a year now I have been longing for a little booth in a great shop...

I had yet to find the perfect fit until...

I went to a local shop The French Nest on Friday on a little shopping excursion.

One of the owners and I were talking about my search for a space and in walks Anne.

Anne is opening a new shop in a quaint little town called Mt. Dora FL with another dealer I know well.

The shop is full....I give her my card and she says she will put me first on the wait list.

Sigh...

The next day she calls me and offers me a space. Someone has opted out.

Serendipity?

I have thought on this and prayed on this for so long...

I say yes.

My new space will launch on April 11th at

Pattie Anne's Vintage Land
947 N. Donnelly
Mt. Dora FL

SLIM PICKINS...

Weekend before last was the final Extravaganza of the season at Renninger's.

I went with high hopes of finding lots of fab stuff to take to Texas for the Spring show at MARBURGER.

It was slim pickins folks...

But what I got is pretty darn good!

I love this industrial table! Maybe from a lab? The top is copper! I think this would be a great entry table, don't you? You could toss your keys in the little bowl at the front edge.

Who doesn't love these old clip racks and this one has fabulous old blue paint! And I can't ever pass up a tarnished silver ice bucket.

Can you picture this cutie in your kitchen or your bathroom? I can...

I've had several battery jars over the years but none as big as this one!

Love this black metal tray but this weather dial steals my heart! I've never seen one of these before have you?

This huge and heavy zinc bucket is to die for! Picture it full of forsythia branches...

And then there's always something for moi, right? I am madly in love with my frozen charlotte necklace!

These little bisque dolls were put inside the cakes for little girls but if they were broken then they were buried in the yard. That's the story given anyway. She's suspended from old rosary beads married to a vintage ladies watch. Love!!!

So that's the extent of it minus a dress form that needs a little tlc before she makes her debut.

I spent the day with my pal Euna which was super fun! We both used to be dealers at Renninger's in the old days.

Stay tuned for more updates on the preparations for MARBURGER FARMS!

SORRY GUYS...

I've been told by a couple of you recently that you are having trouble commenting on my blog.

Again.

It's been a while since this pesky problem first reared it's ugly head.

Now it seems to be back in spite of my downloading and using Google Chrome.

I decided to try turning off the word verification feature to see if that would help...

And like always I am now fielding annoying spam comments.

Sorry, I don't have the patience so I am turning the word verification back on.

I apologize if you can't leave a comment on blogger, but there's always Facebook.

My blog posts on my personal page HERE

and....

Did you know I have a business page now for SWEET PEA HOME?

Go HERE and please be sure to "LIKE" my page!

Thanks everyone! Back soon with pics of what I bought at Renninger's Antique Extravaganza!

IT'S GOT POTENTIAL...

What is it about a deconstructed chair that makes me weak in the knees?

Remember this one that I found and kept about a year or so ago?

The best part is it's one of a pair... Yes, I know the burlap and horsehair is itchy, but they are like works of art to me and I keep them where they aren't sat upon.

I digress...

In November I found this beauty...

Not in this deconstructed state, mind you. It still had it's original green upholstery and being as I'm not a green person and the fabric was a bit worse for the wear, I started removing it. I have to say it is amazing the amount of labor that went into this baby.

But it's got potential...

I'm thinking antique grain sack upholstered and the original finish left intact.

You'll have to wait and see if this one makes it to the Spring show at MARBURGER.

DINING ROOM REVEAL...FINALLY

Isn't it amazing how a little "facelift" can take so darn long?

My dining room and kitchen just received a new and beautiful freshening up.

Here's the dining room before...

White beadboard and a soft neutral color (?) above... It's been a while since we painted it that color and I couldn't begin to remember the name though I'm sure it was Ralph Lauren.

The dining room now in beautiful whites...

Benjamin Moore White Dove on the walls and Vanilla Milkshake on the beadboard and trim.

We added a ceiling medallion above the chandelier and I rearranged the cupboards and wall decor, which came from other rooms in the house.

The kitchen got the same White Dove on the walls and Vanilla Milkshake on the cabinets and trim.

I took the door off one of the upper cabinets and painted it white to showcase my ironstone and tarnished silver collection. I edited my dishes to four of everything in the remaining cabinet and the rest went to the beadboard cupboard in the dining room.

I am loving the new fresh white look to both rooms.

Hope you love it too!
