Give Me A Break...

Okay I just had to do a post about this.

I'm watching the evening news and on comes a commercial for Cialis, you know the one for that "male" problem...

Let me set the scenario. A couple are in the middle of painting a room a hideous shade of yellow. Then suddenly they stop mid~stroke (I couldn't resist), turn to each other with THAT look in their eyes.

The next thing ya know they are abandoning the painting with half the wall painted at best and step out into a green meadow that just happens to appear to apparently go off and do the do.

Just wait til they get back and see that the paint has dried on half the wall and the whole project is ruined. I'd love to see the look she gives him then...

And don't you love when a green meadow just appears off your dining room?

Funny but painting never inspires this reaction in me...

I'm just sayin'.

    I'm still crying from laughing so hard! Exactly. Since when do you stop painting a wall and do the do as you say? Not in my house! Obviously this commercial was made by a man!

    Oh my God! That ad was just on TV! LOL...I like the one (not sure what brand) that the couple are sitting in claw foot tubs in the middle of nowhere...now tell me this...WHO DOES THAT? First of all...wouldn't/shouldn't they be sitting in the same tub? I'm just sayin'.......Tami

    I'm sick of these Cialis commercials and every other commercial that makes the man/daddy's look like complete idiots.

    (on a different note - the Enzyte commercials kinda make me giggle - they make fun of themselves...!)

    that only happens during bad 1970s movies. the commercial doesn't show you what happens to the couple 6 months later when 'he' is so sick from taking those drugs with SOOO many side effects...you know...the list of 100 "may cause this and that" side effects. he may be seeing greener pastures for sure.

    It must have been all of the paint fumes. LOL

    OMG - I had the exact same reaction last night when I saw the commercial. In fact, I said the same things out loud to my husband.

    I kept thinking that the roller would dry out - the paint would look terrible and wait - you have to wash your hands, etc.

    I can't stand those commercials!!! They are just too much! The one that kills me is the one that just happens to have 2 clawfoot tubs in the middle of a beach...when they look longingly into each other's eyes.....
    And of course they always seem to come on when the kids are in the room....sheesh. But you are so right...when exactly does that happen when you are in the middle of painting???? :-)

    Just maybe this commercial will make a man think there might be a "reward" if he paints. Just make sure the painting is finished before you give him that romantic lift of the eyelid!

    I can SEE why that is your favorite cupboard, totally awesome. You just don't see many pie safes around anymore in this business, especially with the great old white chippy paint. And the tins are great, I love it!
