What makes a porch romantic for you?
I'm joining JILL at GYPSY BROCANTE for another meeting of the PORCH CLUB. Have you joined yet? Go HERE to see all the participants and read Jill's post about how she romances her porch.
I'm sharing images from a book I bought ages ago titled PLEASURES OF THE PORCH by Daria Price Bowman & Maureen LaMarca.
Enjoy...
Let me know when I can move in to the house right on the ocean view with the gingerbread and wonderful flowers and pillows!! I'll have you over for tea ; ) so beautiful and romantic for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great book ... thank you for the peek inside ... those are some very romantic porches, and I agree a terrific view helps set the mood tremendously ... today I would choose a nice beach!!

ReplyDeleteLove the porches that overlook the ocean!
ReplyDeleteSome really spectacular porches there...I'll take any one of them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that funny video...you gave me a good laugh...and I needed one! Have a great evening! :)
They are all quite beautiful! I love my porch but if it were on a lake or the ocean...it would be perfect! I love the charming house in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great book ~ I think all of the porches are lovely ~ but the pink one is my kinda of porch ;-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I can't pick a favorite so I guess I will have to spend a night in each to pick one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful book...thanks for sharing and have a great week!
I have rarely seen a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated Porch that I didn't like or wouldn't feel comfortable sitting out upon. Whether elaborate or minimalistically simple, just sitting outside on a Porch and enjoying the great outdoors in an outdoor room is a Joy.

Oh my gosh, that book is fabulous. I totally agree with everything you've related to as romantic on a porch. ♥ And I'd take any of those porches from your book!
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting for Porch Club Monday.
Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
My dream house has always been a Victorian with gingerbread trim a turret and a wrap around porch. I love those images.
ReplyDeleteThis book is awesome! What beautiful porches. Thanks so much for sharing. I have already gotten some ideas that I want to try just from this peek!
ReplyDeleteI also love the porch that overlooks the ocean, that would be wonderful! All of them are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm experience serious porch envy tonight Shelley. These porches have me dreaming....
ReplyDeleteFor a long time, I have wanted to add a screened porch to the end of the house, just off of Landon's room, so he could experience sleeping outside. He (and I) would love it. I hope someday it will become a reality.
Such a beautiful post my friend.
sending big hugs
Oh to have a porch! to swing and sip lemonade and listen to the birds chirping.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...so romantic and some are even dreamy. Love them all.
